Afghans Who Require Supplemental Medical Screening

Certain Afghans who arrived in the United States under Operation Allies Welcome (OAW) and are applying for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident must complete supplemental medical screening in order to demonstrate that they are not inadmissible under the health-related grounds.

You may schedule an appointment for supplemental medical screening online if you:

  • Arrived in the United States during OAW between July 30, 2021, and September 30, 2022;
  • Have filed or will file an application for adjustment of status (Form I-485, Application to register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) pending with USCIS; and
  • Only completed a medical screening documented of Form SF-600, Chronological Record of Medical Care.

Note: If you need to reschedule a supplemental medical screening appointment for another day, you must cancel the pending appointment (unless the period has already expired) before you can schedule a new one.
